The Intentions Of My Heart
This past April I began taking classes at Over The Top Bible
College via online. It’s more like Bible boot camp rather than acquiring a
degree. The classes are taught by Prophet Robin D. Bullock from Church
International in Warrior, Alabama. Let’s just say, I’m constantly looking
forward to the next class! I LOVE it! The first few months of classes have focused
on foundation or doctrine if you will. You have to understand what you believe
in and why or we will always find ourselves out of alignment.
I am including a couple excerpts from my book essay that
explains why I’m recommending this book and why it had an impact on me.
For such a short book, it was a powerful, thought-provoking
book right out of the gate! In today’s world, it seems like everyone thinks
everything is rigged or biased. Our judicial system. Our government. Our news stories.
The list goes on. Before reading this book it was difficult to understand that
anything could be balanced without bias. Now having completed this book with
the focus of God is absolutely good, it would be impossible to consider God’s
system of government of seed, plant, harvest to not be perfect and fair.
I think what was most eye-opening for me is not only
are my words seeds I plant and create a harvest, but so are my thoughts,
intentions and actions. I know God searches the heart. He knows if a person
(me) is truly excited to see someone else blessed. God is able to distinguish
gratefulness and envy in someone’s heart. Both will yield a harvest, one better
than the other. God also knows if you have motives for your actions such as
fear or greed.
Lester Sumrall gave an interesting revelation, that
faith is trust, complete trust. How difficult it must be to love or trust
someone because you fear what they’ll do to you. How difficult it must be to be
surrounded by people because of what you can give them satisfying their own
greed. I am in absolute awe to think God had the intelligence and foresight to
take all of this into consideration when He created His system of seed, plant,
harvest.
It shouldn’t surprise me that the wisest person in the
Old Testament wrote the book of Proverbs outlining how to plant good seed to
reap a blessed harvest. I remember when I first received my book, God is
Absolutely Good. I was flipping through the pages and came across the outline
of seed and harvest in the back. Now having completed the book, the outline
speaks differently to me. This book has encouraged me to search my own heart,
consider my own thoughts and examine my own actions.
I am truly grateful that because God loves us so much,
he wanted to save us. He chose Abraham to plant a seed using the intentions of
Abraham’s heart to bring forth the harvest of Jesus Christ. Because of Jesus’
blood sacrifice not only am I covered in grace, but I have a heartfelt praise
for God. I praise Him for His Word. Now that I understand seed, plant, harvest
I praise God for the Holy Spirit giving me revelation through His Word so that
I may repent for the words I’ve spoken in times of desperation or anger. I
praise God that the blood covers my sin and prevents the bad harvest that I
deserve. This book has left my heart happy and excited to read the next book!
Should you choose to read this book I hope you share your
own revelations with me. I know I usually share how God has moved in my
personal life but today I am feeling
that God wants to move in the life of someone else. Someone who hasn’t
experienced it yet. I pray the person reading these words is blessed and the
seeds these words are planting in someone’s heart grow exponentially. I pray
your relationship with God leaves you grateful and wanting more. Take steps to
grow. Seek God and He will show you how to proceed. I pray one day soon I am
reading about your story and how God has moved in your life!
God bless!!!
