I Had To Be Removed In Order To Be Brought In!

For all you mamas reading this post, I hope you had the best weekend with your family and made to feel like the special person you are. If you aren’t a mother, I hope you were able to spend quality time with your mom or the woman most influential in your life. I can say for myself, Shaun and Landon made me feel loved and grateful. It’s been a minute since I last posted to my blog. Honestly, I struggled with which story to share. I truly want whatever I post to give God glory rather than implying I’m special because I’m not. God is not a respecter of persons. It’s only now that I began typing that I feel a strong pull to share this one. It was June 19, 2021 in Clearwater Beach, Florida that I got baptized for the first time. Those who know me and my love for the beach know it’s only fitting for me to be baptized in the ocean. Before that I had convinced myself that a person doesn’t need to be baptized to go to Heaven. Jesus still loves me if I’m not baptized and so on. Well, I can s...

Stand in the Gap!

Welcome back! Spring is finally here! It’s so wonderful to see leaves and purple blossoms on the trees. As we get ready to say good-bye to April, I am grateful that you continue to show my blog support. By consistently reading and sending me messages my heart is full knowing God is getting ready to move in your life. It’s a very vulnerable place to be, publicly putting your personal opinions, experiences and walk with Jesus out there for all to see. I’m not called to be comfortable. I’m called to stretch and grow in my relationship with Jesus. In my last blog I shared my opinion on fasting according to the Bible. If you haven’t read it yet I definitely encourage you to read it. If fasting doesn’t interest you then read it for the facts about the Bible that point to it being God breathed. It still blows my mind. Last week’s post set me up for this story. I also feel it is another example of God working even when you don’t see it, my post from March 8, 2025. I want to be clear, I am ...

I hope you had a wonderful Easter and Resurrection Sunday! I know Lent leading up to Easter a lot of Christians fast for 40 days. What does fasting mean exactly? It could be no sweets for 40 days. Last year my husband and I gave up caffeine for 40 days. It made for an interesting experience in my household! LOL I bring up Lent because most people can recognize giving up something is what we do before Easter. I’m not saying everyone participates in the fast, but most people can identify Lent with fasting. What I don’t hear a lot of is anyone discussing periodic fasts outside of Lent. It never really dawned on me until a former co-worker requested to meet with me. She was graduating from Bible College in a couple months. With that came the decision of whether to stay in Ohio or move back home to another state and pursue a career there. She came to me for advice. How flattering and terrifying it was all wrapped up with a bow on top! The reason she was inspired to come to me for ad...

Giving of Myself

Welcome back! I began sharing this blog out of obedience to the Holy Spirit. Some wonder, how do I hear from the Holy Spirit? How do I know I’m hearing from the Holy Spirit. Aside from my posts you’ve read thus far I need to share my heart about volunteering. I strongly believe it helped open the door and fuel God to move in my life. I will also say this, the Holy Spirit will never move outside of God’s word in the bible. His direction will always be to lead others to Jesus, deliver them, bring them to repentance or preach the good news. Everything is to glorify God. Satan never wants to help build God’s kingdom. With that said, volunteering…there are so my non-profits, community organizations, churches, animal shelters, food banks, kids’ sports, school PTAs…this list goes on but one thing they all have in common is every one of them need volunteers. The need for volunteers grows stronger all the while the volunteer pool gets smaller. Why is that? Organizations always market where th...

As I begin to write this next article, I realize I’m struggling with which story to share. Which message will have an impact on the reader in a way that will not only touch their hearts but open their eyes to God’s glory all around us. I recognize God put me in a position to be a witness to things behind closed doors that people don’t see in a pulpit or on a stage. God moved in ways that would be truly seen by the intended individual(s). Jesus will meet us where we are and speak to us in way we personally identify with. We see things on the surface, but God knows our hearts. He knows our thoughts. He knows what we are into and what we dislike. He often uses symbols like in parables.   Matthew 13: 10-12 AMP Then the disciples came to Him and asked, “Why do You speak to the crowds in parables?” Jesus replied to them, “To you it has been granted to know the mysteries of the kingdom of heaven, but to them it has not been granted. For whoever has spiritual wisdom because he is recepti...

Miracle or Crazy?

Scrolling through social media the other day I came across a post from Amanda Grace with Ark of Grace Ministries, “You can not have an encounter with the Living God and not be changed.” I can say I felt every bit of each word written. Some may be asking themselves right now how in the world do you have an encounter with God or hear his voice. Well, before my first encounter where God clearly rebuked me, I had been reading my Bible several times I week. I prayed a lot and even now, often leave my line of communication open throughout the day with God. Some talk to themselves on the regular, I talk to God. I even tell Him when I’m angry with Him or I don’t understand why things are unfolding the way they are. The more I study the word and research the things I feel in my spirit the more I recognize His guidance. He may be talking to you, but you don’t hear because there’s too much in your ears already...something to think about. When God snapped, “WHY ARE YOU IN FEAR?!?” at me I did a ...

God Rebuked Me!

So a little back story, in February of 2020 I acquired a horse. An Arabian gelding, Amir. Though he isn’t “papered” my equine vet believed Amir was 16 years old at the time. According to my vet, Arabs typically live well into their 30s for those who aren’t familiar with the breed. Amir had some hoof issues when I got him. Later we also found he had had multiple injuries to his neck, pastern and stifle (knee). I had the wonderful privilege of working with my vet and farrier to begin rehabilitating Amir for the next year and a half. I was utterly amazed that I got to call him mine. Beautiful with a BIG personality! Who knew a month after I took ownership of Amir and boarded him in Delaware, Ohio covid19 would hit with a vengeance shutting everything down. It was easy to spend a lot of time with Amir especially since distractions were limited. We bonded quickly. I’m not real sure who rescued who to be honest. Amir’s favorite treat is a muffin made of barley, oats and wheat (all th...
